September Newsletter
Message from the President
Hi all,
Thanks you everyone who donated and/or helped with the yard sale. I think there are still donations to be made. Thanks especially to Lisa and Doyle Peck for the use of their home and all the donations of items. The
yard sale was more successful than I thought it would be. I think we
raised close to $700. Half will go the YWCA for the battered women's
shelter and half to the guild.
It was a fun day. The opening social followed the yard sale. It was very nice to see everyone and it was a fun time.
I
hope everyone has enjoyed their summer. I can't believe summer is over
and school has started. I did get back to NJ to see my sister and get
to the ocean. The Jersey shore is one of my happy places and helped it
feel like actually summer happened. The good side of summer being over
is the painting meetings start again and we all get back together.
I look forward to seeing you all at the September meeting.
Betty Van Pelt
President
