Utah Guild of Heritage Artists
September 2021 Newsletter
Hi all,
It was great to see those of you who could make it to the Opening Social. There was a good turn out. Thanks for coming. Thank you Kay for inviting us into your home. We all enjoy your beautiful yard and home. We hope to see more of you soon but completely understand those staying cautious.
After the group discussion at the Opening Social we will be staying with SDP for 2022. We committed to this for one year and we will reevaluate. We are staying with SDP mainly for the insurance. There will be more discussion about what will happen going forward. Please be thinking about the future of the group and your role in the group. That said, SDP is making changes. There is an on-line chapter. They are offering ZOOM classes and selling e-patterns. There are some upcoming events listed at the end of this letter.
There will be a poll coming out on the set up of the board for next year.
Marilyn will be president or head of the committee depending on how the vote goes.
Options in the poll will be (respond to poll when it comes out):
1. Keep board as is. (If you select this, We need new board members. Please let Marilyn know what position you are willing to take on.)
2. Change the board to a committee of three (for this year Marilyn will head the board and Gail as treasurer and one other.)
The other polls brought up at the opening social will be sent out at a later date, we'd like to get the board or committee decided first. If you weren't there and are curious, not having retreat, seminar, opening socials or have a committee to plan each, There may be additional polls as well.
September 4 - Chickadee in watercolor pencils - 9 AM meeting followed by the class.
