President's Letter
Hi Gals,
Can you believe that it is October already?
We have some fun things happening to finish off the year, so
mark your calendars.
Nola is teaching the turkey this month. She will be teaching
the owl at the same time for those who want that. We will be multi-tasking
painters. If you missed out on the wood order, the turkey is painted on the
small gas pump sign from cupboard distributing.
Jan Pecharich is teaching the Santa from Helan Barrick in
November. She is teaching this on a big, wooden bell, and if you want a bell I
need to know ASAP. I have 5 people that have ordered new bells, so if you are
one of those you can relax. There are also a bunch of us that have bells
already, so if you are one of those, you can still relax. If you do not fall
into either category and you would like a bell, I need to know soon!
Our Christmas party sign-up is in full swing, and you are
going to want to get your name on the list. We are having it catered and
we will be at Lisa Peck's home. It will be on December 15th this year, which is
our normal paint weekend, but a change for the Christmas party. Mark your
calendars! We will start at noon and we are having the ornament exchange, so
start looking, painting, beading, papering, sewing THE ornament that everyone
wants now. It is always a challenge to do something that everyone would love.
Our service project baskets are also out now, and you can
get your tickets for those for one dollar each, and each basket has tons of
goodies in it. If you know people that are interested and would like to
participate but are not members of chapter, they are welcome. Remember that all
monies for this special raffle will be donated to Huntsman Cancer in the guild's
name.
Elections are coming up, and we would love to have you on
the board. Contact Glenna to let her know you are willing to help out.
I am going to be past president soon and I am still looking
for a theme for retreat next year. I know that I want hedgehogs to be a part of
that, but not all hedgehogs. If you can think of a fun theme, please let me
know.
Thank you for all you do to help out. We have an amazing
chapter and we have so much fun when we get together.
