July Newsletter

Hello Ladies!
I am sorry this is so late. I am hoping everyone has a great 4th of July. I have been out of town with my husband for our 30th wedding anniversary. WowJ
We are having a meeting in July for those wishing to attend. This will be held at Kay’s Home and we will be making fascinators for our opening social in August.
You will need to bring your own glue gun and materials to make your fascinator. Don’t forget your glue sticks. We will also be doing a potluck, so if you can think of some yummy thing to share then please bring that. We will start at 10:00 a.m.  and Kay is so excited to show us her new covered patio. It will be a lot of fun for those attending.
Retreat was fabulous. We really had a lot of fun and tons of good food. We missed all those who couldn’t make it this year. We made beautiful ornaments and painted Nativity trees and watercolor cardinals and cute toadies. We really had fun and learned some new things while we were at it. Thank You to the retreat committee and all of the hard work that went into retreat. Hazel and Betty painted these wonderful nametags for each one of us, (just in case we forgot who we were). Next year’s retreat theme is Spring/Summer/ Bunnies and I am looking for classes right now, so if you have any ideas then please let me know.
August is our opening social and we will be doing the tea party at Kay’s home, also. This will begin at4:00 p.m. and we will also be doing our service project which is dresses for the Women’s Guild. This can be dresses, skirts, tops, dress pants, etc.. Anything that a Woman can use to go to work or a job interview in. I always look forward to Kay’s tea parties because she always comes up with the greatest ideas. They are always so much fun.
September is our Bill Bayer Seminar. It will be on the 18, 19, and 20th. The cost is $85.00 a day andThursday and Friday will be one two-day project and Saturday will be a one-day project. We will go home with two beautiful oil paintings at the end of the seminar. It is always fun to learn something new and try new things.
I look forward to seeing everyone at Kay’s for the fascinator class and Happy Painting!
