Hi Ladies! I would like to thank Betty Van Pelt for teaching the beautiful Four Seasons Glass Votive with seasonal birds that she designed for us. Almost everyone took home a finished lamp. Remember that our April 16th meeting is starting at a later time. Our meeting time will be 11:00 AM instead of 9:00 AM due to the Salt Lake City Marathon. This class will be taught by Glenna Nielsen-Grimm and is a cute See No Evil Owls designed by Jamie Mills-Price. I am looking forward to a fun time at this class and hope to see all of you there!

Prep: Paint the back-board Black and let dry. Then follow instructions for the crackle and top coat. Let dry. Sand. The owl cutout: Paint the entire cutout Bleached Sand. I used Josonja's Island Sand which worked fine. If you are using the side with the laser cut, then you are ready to start basing in the wings, face, eyes, beaks and feet. If you don't like the laser cut side, then just turn it over and transfer the pattern. Wings and V crest on head painted with Driftwood. I used Josonja's Smoked Pearl. Eyes are black. Feet and beak are painted with Honey Brown. I used Chroma Interactive Burnt Sienna, JS Burnt Sienna will work as well. The logs under the owls are based in with Burnt Umber. You can tip your loaded B.U brush into your light background color as you are basing in your logs and streak in some lighter colors. We will darken it as we paint the project.
