Hi all,
Sorry this message is late. There seem to be far fewer hours in the day lately.
I hope everyone is enjoying the less damp weather we have been having.
I would like to thank Brenda Stott for the nice relaxing fun zentangle class. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Thank you to Velma and Andrea for the yummy food.
If you were interested in the Sherry Nelson Seminar (oil) call me today Friday June 5th, 801-699-1246. We are three people short. If we don't get three more people we will have to cancel. I really hope we can pull this off.
Next up, retreat. Lisa has lots of fun classes and surprises planned. Please let Lisa now ASAP if you are planning to attend and have not yet signed up. We will be at JoLynn's family's cabin again June 25-27. Thank you for your generosity JoLynn and thanks Lisa for all the hard work you are doing. Prep/paint colors etc will be sent by the teachers. We are coordinating that now.
For the chicks, there is no prep before. There will be a little prep Thursday night.
Cement bunnies are to be based in in Burnt Umber.
Classes - Thurs night - spring apple colored pencil - Let Lisa know ASAP if you want this as she has to order pencils
There will be a card make it take it for those not taking the colored pencil class - everything will be provided
Friday 9 am - Bunny Plate - Glenna and canvas bunny - JoLynn
Friday 1 pm - Bicycle Basket - Loretta and Bunny Tin - Glenna (this is a switch) picture added to blog - this will take the place of the bunny panel - not sure Glenna knows this yet
Friday 6 pm - Chicks - Betty V
Saturday 9 am - Cement Bunnies - Kay (base Burnt Umber)
The opening social will start with a garage sale/bake sale at Kay's. We will be pricing items the night before at 7 pm. Garage sale from 7am -11 am. Lunch, etc starting at noon. Please bring any items you wish to add to the garage sale the night before if possible. Please have bake sale items package to sell from a baking sheet or pan. I have a sign up sheet for bake sale items, help pricing, setting up, selling, cleaning up, hauling off. Half of the proceeds will go to the "Battered Women's shelter" and half will go to our chapter. I'm also thinking of putting out a donation container for the shelter that will all go to them. Thank you very much Kay for letting us hold all of this at your beautiful home.
I am going to stop there. I'm at work and need to get back to it.
Sorry if I have missed anything. If there are questions, please feel free to call me 801-699-1246 or shoot me an e-mail @ betty84094@gmail.com.
Enjoy, be safe, happy painting!
